Talking and stuff
so every Sunday morning the kids come and snuggle with us in our bed, it's something we started years ago, I love it!!!
anyway we're all in there the bed is very full of silly wiggly kids hugging and saying Good Morning, so Lucien is sitting on my lap and Daddy says "hi Lu" to him.... Lu looks right at daddy and says
"hi dad". My heart melted it was so sweet, daddy even had a tear or two, ok ok i know kids talk but it was just so darn sweet!!!
as it turns out our big ole' guy says lots of things now, thank you, mom, dad, sissy, bear(Merrick's nick name)baba, juice, this,what's that, i know, not me, (lol comes in handy) what, and la la la, I think he's singing.....so not bad for a 1 year old!!!
of course he's all over the place and is a climber!!! and an escape artist!!! but he is the happiest baby I have ever know still doesn't cry except when he wants turned over, lol ( still spoiled form the NICU)or gets hurt and even then it's not a cry just a grump, he loves to play with his brother the two are trouble looking to happen!
(real quick let me tell you about his stay in the NICU, if he would grunt or fuss they would turn him over so even now when he's asleep if he wants to turn over he fusses till someone does it, he's a bit spoiled but who cares, he's only going to be little once.......)
He's such a big guy now, going to grow up way to fast......

Lucien is 1 !!!!!
My little man is 1 now!!! we had a party for him at my mother in law's house just a few friends, nothing fancy, we learned years ago, that babies do not love parties.He was great he dived into his cake and gave daddy a big smooch after! I wish I had that on video, lol. He wasn't into the presents, I don't think he gets it yet but he had a good time. Sadly I forgot my camera and we bought one of those disposable ones hopefully the pics' turn out well and I can post them soon.
It sure doesn't seem like a year has gone by, I'm so grateful to Heavenly Father, for keeping him safe and letting us keep him! Lucien is so big now he's wearing a 2t shirt and 18 month pants, he's long and his belly shows if he wears a smaller shirt, he got his first pair of real shoes size 6 wide (oh my) we didn't think his feet were so big, he says "mom" , "dad" and "kitty", and the funniest thing "not me", there are other words he too. Merrick loves him so much, the other night the boys feel asleep together and Lu started fussing Merrick in his sleep rubs Lu's back and says "shhhh baby it's ok" awwwww how sweet are they!!! Lucien adores his brother and sisters but really Merrick is his pal! oh and Lucien has been walking for 2 months now but he is also a climber, we found him on the couch, the step stool, the coffee table, all the beds, and everywhere in between.

Surprises
Lucien is walking, yay!! he was sitting on the floor with daddy, pulled himself up and took off, 4 steps the first time, we were shocked to say the least, most kids stand up for a while first and test the waters so to speak, but not Lu, he's off and running, and doesn't want to be babied at all now. I'm very proud of him but I was hoping he would stay little longer, but I should have know he was gonna be this way he's a fighter, and has to do things his way, always has been.

LunchWow, time has flown by, Lucien is such a big boy, now he can sit up by himself, and roll, and he's trying to crawl, only he goes backwards not forwards, eats everything he can get his hands on, he's going for a check up, next week I can only imagine how much he weighs now, lol I will post his height and weight when we have them.

My Big Big Boy
Lucien, always rolls to his side to sleep and has to be wedged between stuff, the nurses did this to him at the Hospital and he still wants it like this, it makes it had to get stuff done while he's sleeping, because he can not be left alone.
Very spoiled baby likes to sleep on all the pillows in the house, don't worry he's never left alone, like this, and it is very cute, King Lucien. King of the pillows!!!
I love this outfit, it was a gift! and it's so cute on him, its starting to get small so I grabbed a pic of him it before he can't wear it anymore. I really wish he would be little, for a lot longer.......

My big boy
Well snoochie as I like to call him, is growing like a weed, he's over 18 pounds now, wearing size 9 to 12 months, I can't believe how big he's getting, he can roll over now, and hates to get stuck on his belly, when he excited he kicks his little legs, super fast! it's so cute I keep trying to get a video but you know how it is he stops as soon as I get the camera or its too dark......anyway I'm working on it, lol
he is eating baby food, sweet potato's are his favorites with peaces coming in second, the funniest thing is he HATES banana's just like his brother, who doesn't like banana's crazy boys! he doesn't like cereal either, but it's yucky!!! he loves to play with his stuffed toys attacking and chewing on them, he also is quite the talker, it's like he found his voice and doesn't want to stop.....
still not sleeping through the night, but that's ok he just has a little bit to eat and goes right back to sleep.

Fat baby!
the first pic is his first bath just a day after we brought him home, the second i just took a couple days ago, He's grown SO much!!
Lucien's Blessing day
Lucien had his baby blessing, Sunday August 2, it was very special. Mike was so prod and when he finished he held Lucien up like in "the Lion King'' movie, so everyone could see him, LOL . Honestly he's a nut! I was so touched by all the men, who stood up there with our son, Church family is the best!!! (We don't have family in the Church out here)

update....
it's been awhile since I've updated us, so here we go
Lucien is amazing! He eats like a wild man attacking his bottle, grunting and growling, yes he growls at me, but when he eats so much he swallows air and then can't burp so we have a long night of tummy aches, silly boy. He goes to the Dr. next week and I can't wait to see how much he weighs, it feel like a TON!! He not wearing the little newborn clothes anymore he's doing the 3 to 6 month size now, Mike is going to have to get another job just to feed and clothe the boy, LOL Oh and I got a wrap carrier, like that ultimate wrap, but cheaper, and it's wonderful, Lucien sleeps so well and I can get stuff done now!!!! Now if we could get him to sleep more then 3 hours at a time....
Merrick loves his baby and they interact so cute together, and Merrick is starting to be a Big Boy now asking to use the potty and helping clean up after the baby it's so cute, I'm not ready for him to be big yet:( when Lucien cries he gets very angry at whoever he thinks is making the baby cry and yells at them, very cute!
Savannah is bored, with school out she has nothing she wants to do so she's learning to knit, she is making little hats to donate to the Hospital for the babies in the NICU, and then she wants to make blankets too, I hate to knit so bless her for it! She is going to be 8 in August and is taking lessons to be Baptised, she's so smart!
Cheyenne is happy school is out she's catching up on reading.....we made her go to Camp this year for 5 days and she wanted to take her books, funny girl, she is finishing the Eragon series, and the ink heart series, she likes to read several books at once, weird huh?! well its her way
I'd be confused but whatever.
Beverly went to camp too but had a major panic attack, about being away from me, this is the first time since I got her she's been gone for so long, she did go to camp last year but it was 2 days, LOL I love her I try to get her to do stuff but it's hard, she worries so much. Her bio- parents have been wanting to see her, and that always upsets her some,we left it up to her this time as to weather or not she will see them, it hard because it's caused a HUGE split in our family (she's my cousin's bio daughter) and we don't have contact with most of the family now, very complicated, but she's SO worth it! She will be starting class this fall at the Community College here and maybe in a year she'll be ready to go off to a Major College, I hope I want her to have a good life!
Mike and I are good, nothing new.

I've been so busy with sick kids I haven't sent out the Birth Announcements yet, or thank you cards...........I'm sorry and will try to do it soon!
Life at our House
Lucien is still sick, he had a respiratory infection, but doing better......he hates the baby sling we got him and we've been trying different bottles to help with his gas so far the Dr. Browns, is working some of the time, and we're getting some sleep now:) and I'm going to try a different sling I know he would like one if I can figure out what he wants.....for some one so young he sure is picky:) he mostly just wants me
Merrick is very sick ......he has a BAD cold, hopefully he'll be better soon, it would help if the weather would either stay hot or cold but it goes back and forth daily, this time of year makes me crazy! Oh and he fell in to the couch, the bottom part that's hard and broke a tooth but I can't take him to the Dentist until he's over the cold, I'm sure they'll pull it, poor guy.
Bevie is sick........allergies, what more is there to say.
Chy and Sassy are NOT sick, woo hoo!!!!
